Suunto 9

I have used Suunto for years and the Suunto 9 excels in what I require: long battery life. I wear a watch not to inform my race-day decisions (except for timing of nutrition) but to study my performance after the fact. Having a watch that does not have to be swapped out or charged was a requirement for me. Suunto 9 Baro includes the optical heart rate monitor and has many features that ultra-runners consider essential (navigation, breadcrumb, metrics) with none of the fancy stuff that you do not need or want when on a multi-hour or multi-day run.
